Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1805-1810.

Mahogany tall-case clock. The hood has a molded arch pediment, a central ball-and-eagle finial on a block plinth flanked by pierced fretwork and two ball-and-spire finials on block plinths, fluted colonettes at the front corners, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top, fluted quarter columns with brass capitals at the front corners, and a rectangular case door with molded edges and inlaid maple banding. Box base with molding at the top, supported on French feet. White painted dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, gilt ornament in the spandrels, and moon phase dial in the lunette. Inside the chapter ring there are a seconds dial, a calendar aperture, and the inscription "Aaron Willard Boston." Eight day movement.
